Alan Rubin

Alan Rubin, conosciuto anche come Mr. Fabulous (New York, 11 febbraio 1943 – New York, 8 giugno 2011), è stato un trombettista statunitense, suonatore anche di flicorno.
Rubin si è laureato alla Juilliard School di New York. Era un membro della Saturday Night Live Band, con la quale suonò alla cerimonia di chiusura dei Giochi olimpici del 1996. Come membro della Blues Brothers Band, ha impersonato "Mr. Fabulous" nel film The Blues Brothers e nel sequel del 1998 ed era membro del gruppo in tournée.
Rubin ha suonato con molti artisti del calibro di Frank Sinatra, Frank Zappa, Duke Ellington, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Eumir Deodato, Sting, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, James Taylor, Frankie Valli, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Yoko Ono, Peggy Lee, Aretha Franklin, James Brown e Dr John.
